CICT-NorthWell Fellows Course

July 25 – 27, 2024 | Pasadena, CA

About the course

For the first time, CICT congress will run in conjunction with a fellows workshop organized in collaboration with NorthWell. The program is aimed at 1st year interventional fellows and 3rd year general cardiology fellows who are interested in interventional cardiology. The workshop will have a unique hands-on approach where 70-80 fellows (subject to industry support) will be divided into small groups of 7-8 fellows that rotate around topic-specific “stations”. Training at each station will take between 45 to 60 minutes. At these stations, fellows will be guided by leading experts in the field in clinical, technical and conceptual aspects of contemporary basic and advanced interventional cardiology practice.

Course description
This workshop will feature hands-on case-based, clinical, technical and conceptual learning of contemporary basic and advanced interventional cardiology practice. The novel course structure is designed to foster intimate interactions between small group of fellows (7-8), and expert faculty. Also, there will be dedicated time for interactions with industry representatives around cardiac devices functionality and simulation.

Course structure
70-80* fellows will be divided into small groups which will rotate among 9 topic-specific “Stations“ for 1 hour and engage in the structured “WHW“ discussion format:

  • Case presentations & discussion
    • Why did you choose this device / technique?
    • How did you use the product?
    • Why not a different device / technique?
  • Hands-on product education – simulation – industry interaction
